    Looking to reconnect with nature, learn practical skills, and explore food traditions? This summer, I’m excited to invite you to a hands-on workshop series designed to nourish, inspire, and empower — all in the heart of County Cork.

    Each session offers something unique — from foraging and herbal crafting to fermentation — and is suitable for curious beginners and seasoned nature-lovers alike.


    Workshop Schedule:

    20th July – Foraging Walk & Tasting Table
    Explore local wild plants with a guided walk and finish with a seasonal tasting table celebrating nature’s abundance.

    10th August – Herbal Teas + Salve Making
    Craft your own herbal tea blends and learn how to make soothing salves with natural ingredients.

    14th September – Fermenting Workshop
    Discover the basics of fermentation and create your own delicious seasonal ferment to take home.

  • CECAS: Explore Wild Foods: Foraging and Fermentation Workshop

    Get ready for a beautiful, hands-on experience celebrating the land, food, and community connection.

    Join us on Saturday, July 3rd at CECAS (Myross Wood House, Leap, West Cork) for a seasonal workshop led by Chloë Dempsey of @fermentforagegrow.

    We’ll begin the day with a foraging walk, exploring the vibrant summer hedgerows and woodlands of Myross to gather wild edibles, learn how to identify seasonal plants, and reconnect with the rhythms of nature.

    Then it’s time to roll up your sleeves for a hands-on fermentation session, where you’ll discover how to preserve the flavours of summer in your very own wild flower soda.

    We’ll close the day with a tasting table, featuring foraged and fermented delights — a true celebration of place, season, and community.

    Join us on Thursday afternoon, August 14th, for a gentle, immersive walk through the lush Fitzgerald’s Park with the incredible Chloë Dempsey — fermenter, forager, and gardener behind @fermentforagegrow. Chloë will guide you on a fascinating journey to discover and identify edible and medicinal plants thriving in our local wild spaces.

    After reconnecting with nature, we’ll gather in the serene Probys Kitchen garden for an engaging water kefir demonstration and lively discussion. Taste the magic of foraged foods thoughtfully paired to nourish your body and soul. Plus, each guest will take home their very own kefir starter to embark on a second ferment at home — a delicious way to keep the experience alive!
